Did you change the working MIDI channel of each controller? If so, they should be kept as MIDI Chan 0 - factory default.

As for your mixer ... you should be able to use the Simple MIDI Mapper and assign actions in the Config->Mapper tab using the Auto-Learn.

the mixer just doesn't show up even when i scan, as for the controller midi shows 1-15 or all

The DN-X120 is not a MIDI mixer - It cannot be mapped in VirtualDJ. However, you do not need to do this (The only need for a MIDI compatible mixer is to video crossfade with crossfader and possibly trigger effects, samples, etc.)

If you connect each DN-S1200 up to a separate channel on the mixer, and then configure VirtualDJ with the external mixer option in CONFIG -> Sound Setup, you can then manipulate the audio and pre-listen to each player from the mixer as you would do for traditional CD players/vinyl decks.

If the left DN-S1200 is controlling the right deck and vice-versa, simply swap them over! Or you can press the DISC EJECT button on each player to toggle it to the correct deck (I.e: 1 on the left player and 2 on the right.)

If you only have one DN-S1200, you can press DISC EJECT to toggle it between controlling the two VirtualDJ decks.

thanks i'll try that.i was trying to get the crossfader to work so when i record with vdj the fader would break my recording up into multiple tracks, i know the option for multiple tracks is there but everytime i try it come's out in one single long recording.

hello
i have two dn s1200 and only one work with virtual dj 6 and vista why

for the left
midi ch 1
jogtrans 10ms
unit no set 1

for the right
midi ch 2
jogtrans 10 ms
unit no set 2

Set both units to MIDI Channel 0 -- VirtualDJ handles the separation of the two units internally. You do not have to assign independent channels. The Mapping Engine is designed so that you can use the controllers 'off the shelf' without having to make configuration changes on the units.
