Topic: disable scratch option on jogwheels with VDJ6 (mk2)

Hello everybody,

I have updated to VDJ6, updated my hercules mk2 dj controller driver and everything works fine.

There is just one problem; I can't find the solution to change the scratch function of the jogwheels into the pitchbend function.

Is there a way to disable the scratch option?

P.S.: I downgraded to version 5.2.1 (without uninstalling the new mk2 driver) and it works fine and it gives me the option to choose between scratching jogwheels and pitchbending jogwheels. It seems that VDJ6 lost this option...

Damn your fast, Norway!!

Ok, so now I know it's not me missing something. I have full confidence that VDJ or Hercules will solve the problem. I'm a happy costumer for 2,5 years and I know the team is always working on improvements.

Thanks, dj-in-Norway. Than it's VDJ 5.2.1 for me for a while... (which always worked perfect for me)

You can fix it yourself.. easily..

In VDJ 6, simply go to mapper setting, and change the setting for JOG from "wheel_mode" to "scratch_mode"
And it works at a nudge jogwheel (non scratch)

Hence why I think its maybe a little bug, changing the mapping word to scratch mode, should be scratch, and not the oposite;)


But its VERY easy to fix , so download VDJ6 again ;)

My problems got worse, dj-in-norway:

I can only see the colums title, artist and bpm in my browser of VDJ. No column with key or comments anymore. I uninstalled everything, used the new registry tool from this site to clean everything and reinstalled (version 5.2.1). But it doesn't work. So now I can't mix harmonically anymore...

When I rightclick on a song and take a look on 'file infos' it's all there, but I can't get the column on the screen.

I have enabled 'reading id3 tags' in the settings. I hope this can get solved.

I installed it on 2 pc's and it doesn't work on both of them.

Right click on one of the column titles (artist, title, bpm) and select the additional columns from the list ...

Thank you very much!! I was clicking on the wrong part of the screen, I feel stupid now...

But back to the jog wheel problem. I added a picture of the settings. dj-in-norway tells me to change "wheel_mode" into "scratch_mode". I don't see wheel_mode and if I change "jog-Wheel" into "scratch_mode", the jog wheel isn't functional.

Am I doing something wrong? I think I should change the setting next two number 2 in the picture, right? But what should I put there? "scratch_mode" doesn't work.

my problem is a little different. Everytime i try to record a mix within virtualdj...the recording doesnt capture my cuttin and scratrchin. It gets the scratch but with no crossfader gestures. Basically it sound like im moving a record back and forth on an old record player. I like the easyness of being able to record within virtualdj but im a turntablist and need to be able to use my crossfader to cut in with my crossfader. How is this possible? is there anything in the settings i can modify? any and all help will be appriciated.
