Topic: Will there even be a Virtual Vinyl 6.0?

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

From various posts I've read regarding VDJ 6.0 I'm starting to get the feeling there won't be a 6.0 for Virtual Vinyl or Cue and that there is no longer a relationship between Atomix and Numark. Can someone confirm this? I use VirtualVinyl on a Mac and if there isn't going to be further support for this particular bundle then I'm going to have to switch over to VDJ itself. My question is does VDJ support the VirtualVinyl soundcard?

Oh for crying out loud.

Virtual DJ 6.0 has been out for ONE STINKING DAY and already people are sh*tting themselves in paranoia just because every single (rebranded) version is not released simultaneosly.

Since when it has been anything new that VDJ/CUE/VV/WIN/MAC versions are released on slightly different times? Geez, have some patience. You people are worse than bunch of 7-year old kids on xmas.

What's with the attitude? There are many reasons to believe why there might not be anymore future software updates for VirtualVinyl.

-The VirtualVinyll package itself is discontinued (i.e. no more VV soundcards and Numark Timedodes being made).
-Before 5.0 came out there was a Cue/VV beta, there has not been one for 6.0.
-One of the forum moderators more or less said that any updates will now come from Numark, but in the past the updates came from both Numark AND Atomix.
-Numark has now paired up with Serato

And I'm not "s**tting myself with paranoia" as you so eloquently put it. I think I have pretty good reason to suspect VV might not be supported anymore, so keep your un-constructive childish comments to yourself.

This topic is being discussed in length on the General Forums.

The simple answer from Atomix reps is that Vitrual Vinyl & Cue are Numark products NOT Atomix. Although the software is essentially the same, Numark will have to release the update not Atomix.

Yes the updated version will be available via this website, but only once Numark have endorsed it.

As for whether Numark will endorse and release V6 - at this moment in time only Numark can answer this question.

@ AuralCandy.net - I feel you are very harsh in your comments.

Has Numark needing to endorse the update always been the case?

I beleive so. As much as it is the same product "under the hood" - they are two seperate products to the consumer (DJ).

Numark Cue & Atmoix Virtual DJ

Therefore each party will release their own updates - when they want to.

Gotcha, thanks.
