Topic: herc dj control steel driver update problem [SOLVED]

I've been trying to update to the herc steel driver package 2009 hdjs_1 .exe
but keep getting this error




have tried various times to get it to install but no good

i can go back to 2008 hdjs_4 .exe with out any problems and it works fine

has anybody come across this problem before or no of away around it

This problem occur because the previous driver were installed using another console model, and you are now trying to install the new driver using another console (in this case a DJ Steel), and some file of the previous installation are not being updated.

The solutions:

1) Install the driver using the previous DJ Console (if possible) or simply connecting both consoles.

2) Go to C:/Windows/System32/drivers folder and delete the following files:

- hdjbulk.sys
- hdjasiok.sys
- hdjmidi.sys

Once done, launch the installation again.

i did as you suggested and updated the driver package using the herc mk11 instead
then afterwards plugged the dj steel in and then bingo it works a treat now !!
