Not too sure, but the percussion sounds like jungle, it has an electronica feel and the deep beat has a dark step sound. If my memory serves me correct. lol

I would just put it in my techno bin, but then I am not into sub dividing genres into miniscual parts....I keep it to about 5 major dance genres (Crossover/POP, House, Elctro, Techno & Trance, Breakbeats) and then seperate them by vocal or instrumental.
I suppose if I was strictly an electronica/dance music Dj then I would break it up further.....but here in Arizona if it sounds like dance the crowd just calls it house or techno (but musically in America we are stupid...but then we did create and perpetuate rap).

It's just actually classified as techno. He just used organic sounding bass lines and not much layering. There is not much progression with the track too. Electronica nowadays is generally classified into house, hard house, progressive house, trance, techno, break beat, jungle, D'n B and experimental. I have a huge collection of vinyls classified in each genre. I was cataloging them a while back but I gave up on it. I am now trying to convert them to HQ mp3's.
