Will two Dn-s1200's work in virtual DJ on a mac with no issues? if so, how would i set it up?
im going to trade in my DN-HC4500, i like the s1200 because of the CD and usb drive for backup in the occasion that VDJ crashes, which sometimes happens!

From the threads on the Denon forums, yes, they should work. Check out the Denon Threads and read the post:

If you configure your decks the way that thread states, you should be good.
Yes, I also got the Denon's for the same reasons you state, however, VDJ is very stable if you take the time to configure your laptop correctly.
Agiprodj.com has good prices for the Denon's if you are in the states and they are a certified dealer. No, I don't work for VDJ or Agiprodj or Denon, just believe that these three companies produce good product!

Only 1 DN-S1200 is currently natively supported in VirtualDJ v5.2.1
Two can be used via the General MIDI mapper, but you will not have working button LED's or LCD displays.
Two should be natively supported in the next version of VirtualDJ.

I have a Dn-s1200 and I am trying to get it connected up with vdj and I cannot seem to do so. On the dn-s1200 it says that it iss connected to the computer, but when i go into "config" in vdj and rescan for "new devices" it cannot seem to find the denon dn-s1200. I have tryed messing with some of the setting on the denon and in vdj and cannot get it to work. If anyone can help me out on this i would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks!
Thanks!

I have a DN-s1200 and i cannot seem to get it to work with vdj. I have connected it to my pc, then put it in pc mode, then went into vdj "config" and "rescan for new devices" and it does not pull up the dn-s1200 as a device. Everything is hooked up right, but i just cannot seem to get the dns1200 to be rec. on vdj.

Hi
First, I would strongly suggest you post in the place that will get you the most focused attention, and that would be the Denon hardware forum.
http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/115215/Hardware_Technical_Support/DENON_Hardware_Products_%28Setup__Solutions__Fixes__Issues__etc_%29.html
Second, if the correct drivers and firmware are loaded, VDJ should see this device automatically, there is no need to scan for devices.
The best procedure is to boot up with devices connected and powered up.
If sound cards in these devices are being used, make sure they are enabled in the Denon control panel first.
Then put them into midi mode and wait for them to connect waiting 30 seconds for the drivers to fully load up.
Then open Virtual dj.
If they are like the 3700's that I own, you will see some midi lights blinking during this process and then the deck panels will show deck 1 and 2 etc...
We have two very good hardware developers and a Denon rep monitoring that forum that can further assist you if that is not happening.
