Topic: Hey, i just got my DMC-2

I just want to inform that i just got my DMC-2 :-)
But why is the Total Control picture is coming up, can i change it to DMC2 in my profile ?

I believe the icons in your profile are related to the serial number used to register your product. If you registered the LE version of VDJ that came with the Total Controller then that is the product icon associated with your profile
 
According to the icons I have under my picture, that icon is being used for the ion, Total Control and DMC2. It is the software that is registered, not the hardware. Although the LE versions are connected to the hardware.
 
how is the DMC2 i see its down to like 199.00? I have a hercules rmx but a DMC and dnx 500 mixer sound nice
 
I bought the DMC2 after using the CDN95 and really like it. Because the 2 units are very similar, it made it super easy to begin using right out of the box. So far no problems with it. The only problems I had were with my audio interface (not a numark product) but I had been having latency troubles with it already. that was solved with a new driver. So for me, the DMC2 has been a great investment.

DMC2 is also great for video mixing.
And the mapper works very good !!!

I don't have any bad feeling about the DMC2
 
I also recommend DMC2. It offers a great price/quality-ratio.

Yeah i really like it also, i have not tested yet so much, but it seems very good, i got it for 189 eur at Thomann.

What mixer are you using with your DMC? Do you need an external sound card?
 
Here's an idea for having a picture of the controller that you actually own under your name...
If you register a copy of the software (such as the LE version) that is bundled by more than one controller, there's a drop down menu where you can choose what controller that you own out of the list? The guys here would have to add pictures of the devices, of course.

I have a Pioneer DJM-800 paired with two CDJ-400's and I also have a Numark DMC2 Paired with a Numark C3USB (which acts as the soundcard), I still love the versatility of my DMC2. I can do videos and karaoke with my Pioneers on VDJ just like on the DMC2, but the DMC2 was made for VDJ, so it facilitates its use, the buttons are geared for it. I’ll never get rid of mine!

I like the DMC2, I also like the C3usb mixer. My problem with the mixer is that it needs 2 usb ports, so if you have an external hard drive you are left short on ports. :|
 
Yes I agree, that has been a problem for me 2. I ended up using a USB hub despite recommendations against it. The DMC2 goes directly into the computer, if it's not I have big problems, but the two USB plugs for the mixer go into the hub. The hard drives also go directly into the computer otherwise I'll have trouble. This has worked for me though I hate having all of my ports used up. I ended up with a laptop that has these ports, 3 USB, 1 Firewire & 1 eSata. 1 of the USB ports has a Western Digital My Book 1 TB hard drive with music and videos, another USB port connects the USB hub and the final USB port has the DMC2. The eSata has a SeaGate Free Agent Extreme 1.5 TB hard drive which holds all of my karaoke. This set-up has worked for me. Now I use the Pioneer CDJ-400's which are both connected to the hub, my DJM-800 has no USB connections, so only the USB and eSata hard drive are left plugged in so I do have 1 main USB port left for whatever I want. The dongle for my wireless laser mouse is plugged into the hub too as well as my XV6800 Verizon Pocket PC phone for interfacing with the computer and for extra music. Hubs work if used properly. I do occasionally get a freeze-out but that is why I have the CDJ's, the hard drives will plug straight in or I can play CD's while I reboot.

Unfortunately the webmaster did not add a DMC2 icon, perhaps this will change in the future :)
