I usually record as a wave file, I wanted to record a short mix tonight using mp3 @ 128 so it would be small enough for email. When I hit the start button, got an error message saying could'nt open mp3 encoder. I tried reinstalling VDJ but didn't fix it. Any ideas what's going on?

All you have to do is google "Lame encoder.dll" Or PM me your email address and I will send you a copy
Once found, download (if should be free), Go to My Docs>VirtualDJ>Plugins
You should see a lame_enc,dll folder. Just copy and paste the lame encoder into that folder. Thats all I did with my old XP gig machine.

Thanks JimmyB, I'll give that a shot. Maybe the file I have is corrupted.

I don't know mate, I could never get my VirtualDJ to record a mix in mp3, till spinnaJ told me what to do. It worked first time on my Vista gig laptop, but not my old XP machine, figure that out, lol
I guess it was just one of those things.
