Don't know if it would make a difference but wouldn't the quality of the timecode be better in a higher quality mp3 file i mean 128 is crap against the quality of 320kps mp3s just a thought i don't know .

The timecode is controlling the software its not for listening.

It doesn't matter what size bitrate the time code is. The time code sound is only a command to play. That has nothing to do with the quality of the sound output. If you want to hear your music good, you have to have good mp3s at a higher bitrate. Your source is your music files. If you have crappy music files, you will hear it crappy.

You all don't understand the question. 128 kbps sound quality sucks and might cause some change in the sound too.
But the opinion is correct: although 128kbps is a bad quality, timecode signal is basically only one monotone note played troughout the entire cd, so 128kbps in enough for this purpose. As for your other music: stick to minimum 192 :)

We know the question.... Changing the time code bitrate wont make his MP3s sound better. Like i expained before, your music bitrate is the source to good or bad output. That makes a difference. Not the timecode.

That's not the question: he's talking about the timecode mp3 file that can be downloaded on this site, and which is only 128kbps. If it's in a higher quality it might affect the timecode quality. It's not about the sound output.
