Topic: Good Tip for Itunes Files (m4a)

Are you buying some music from Itunes & you don't want to use m4a files ??
m4a files from Itunes comes without artist name for example : Ain't That A Shame.m4a
do you want to edit the tag & have the correct file name as Artist - track ?
So , you can use a very good tool : http://www.1st-mp3-tag-editor.com/
When you have the file as you want you can use a free tool for convert to Mp3 : http://www.nch.com.au/switch/
And that's all for now !

without burning to cd
set import setting for cd to mp3 decoder
right click on the file and make a mp3 version
 
I would think when a constant forum contrubuter like sirkitbreaker with only three stars shows a SIX STAR super-dupper Vip member something he should be considered for a raise in the stars, hopefully someone is paying attention.

Thanks ...but files with drm can't be converted to other formats with Itunes .

maybe you are right i have no files left to test but i know i never burnt all of them to cd and imported

the stars are NOTHING - we also have a very powerlfull NON license users (they know almost everything)
All users have begun without stars - Sclavel included ;-)
 
I know Vdj better than Man-tk and I have only 3 stars ;-)
 
m4a can be converted, its the m4p that can't. But i think all itunes song are m4a now? and m4a play in vdj fine.

Soundtaxi converts m4p but not sure of the legality of it. . . anyone?
 
"m4a ERROR" Hope someone can help. I have a Dell 64-bit Vista computer and am trying to play songs from cd's I burned into iTunes but it is giving me an "m4a Error" and will not play those particular songs. Weird thing is, I tried it on my old XP computer and it worked perfectly. Does anyone have any insight/solution to this problem? I have thousands of songs from cd's and would hate to have to re-install them in a different format just because I decided to get a new computer (Vista isn't necessarily better). Thanks!
 

M4a that are bought in Itunes store only entitle to listen them in the original itunes machine where were purchased and iPod that is linked to that PC. ITunes don't let you transfer it to another computer.

That's why many of us prefer mp3 formats, and buy in other stores.

The interesting thing here is the Trial version of Virtual DJ .m4a files work - which is why I was inspired to buy the home version - now they dont work in the home version - not a happy camper if I now have to go and convert 1000+ songs!

y wud u want to convert m4a to mp3 anyway?... minimal research on file types reveals that m4a files are louder then mp3 files at the same bitrate and are smaller in size... also, u can just drag and drop ur itunes songs into any folder no need to crack anything.. also, if your having trouble playing m4a files in vdj just go into the settings and ensure that u are able to play m4a files
