Topic: Visualisations not working

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Please please please can someone sort out the search on this site. It's no where near as good as it used to be. anyway rant over!

I'm trying to get visualisations working, Sonique specifically, but cannot seem to get anything at all. I've downloaded the latest pack of svp files, but despite searching like a bugger for the best part of two hours, can find any instructions that tell you where to put these files. So I've had them in their own sonique folder under the main vdj folder, in their own folder under the plugins\Videoeffect folder and then finally I just dumped all the svp files in the VideoEffect folder. No working visualisations in any configuration.

Hardware setup is I'm activating the visualisations on an external monitor using hardware acceleration directly to the card (not in window although I've tried that too), If I check and uncheck the "hide logo" the logo appears and disappears, if I use the negative plugin the external screen goes white. So I figure they must be working at some level, but sonque does not.

Found threads saying to update the DX versions, followed the link and done that.
Found another few threads relating visuals not responding when using certain usb soundcards, so I've tried all my soundcard configs as well, no joy.

So if anyone could enlighten me as to what I'm doing wrong I'd much appreciate it.

go into config > choose video tab > go down to the bottom right drop down window and select sonique, to the left make sure you tick the box, come out of config and select effects > select video tab > select sonique > select/click on activate > select open > this is where you go to where you have your sonique folder, now open the folder and double click on a file, this will now run your sonique effects. you can now play with the two sliders for the type of effect you want. slide show delay will give you how long each effect will run for and the transparency will let you fade the soniques over other effects like a video, show logo etc...

if you have the time go through your individual soniques and delete the crappy ones, saves getting them up on the screen, if you get stuck i could make a video for you as looking at that i find is a lot easier than my explanations..... lol

Thanks Tayla

That's exactly the instructions I couldn't find! All makes sense when you know how.

As a wise meerkat once said, "simples".

Denzel

Actually might by worth adding this snippet of info to the wiki?

no probs denzel,i'm from meerkat manor peeps... don't worry mate we've all been there, still am.... lol

actually i'm building up a bank of simple video tutorials (for people like me, lol) and i'll think the soniques one will go in just nicely, just got to make the damn thing now...

don't forget to use the wiki if you can't find an answer on the forums, some good stuff there as well as the odd video tutorial.
