I wouldn't like to say for sure.
But my assumption is; technically it wouldn't be legal as you are modifying the track by removing the DRM.
But at the same time if you only using them yourself then i cant see much harm in it.

VDJ does play the napster files, but you can not record your mix. Also, what if you wanted to put them on your mp3 player. I think if someone does have a problem with it, they should take it up with the program people. The buyer is using the program as intended. I am not sure how SoundTaxi converts it, but I really don't see this as wrong. They are your files, aren't they.
DJ Digital
Pratice and Enjoy!!
Also, SoundTaxi's WMA convert does not replace or remove the orginal DRM protected track.

It's not illegal in the sense that you're not stripping the DRM but simply transcoding (in a lossy manner) the original protected content. This is the same as burning a CD of your music with iTunes and ripping it again.
However.. should people really be playing out music that has been obtained this way? What is the difference between downloading it from one of those $0.15 per track Russian sites? Afterall, that's legal too (at least if you're in Russia) - or perhaps signing up to an online radio providers 192kbps/320kbps stream and then ripping those tracks (perfectly legal, it's simply timeshifting); best of all, you could automatically build playlists as well as obtaining cheap if not free music.
You are however breaking the Terms and Conditions which you agreed to when signing up for such a service when you play such music publicly (unless your country enforces a Digital DJ License which you have paid for), but a lot of people do not; here are the disclaimers from some of the most popular sites people use:
"Audiojelly downloads are only for your personal, non commercial use."
