I believe the consensus would be that it is possible, but isn't an ideal solution.
 
you could load an accapella in as a sample and beatlock it
 
I always wanted to mix with 4 decks. I tried the multiinstance skin, but it does not meet the expectation.

Since 3.4 my TTs became very unstable with VDJ. I tried all possible advises (for example: maximizing you machine for VDJ, even bought a new machine). Right now, I used both VDJ and Serato. I got myself the DN HD4500 witch I hook to VDJ and my TTs to scratch live. With a 5 channels mixers (an extra one for my mp3 player), now I have 4 decks to play with. Well I got to tell you it’s cool to mix with 4 decks.

But now, let’s think of this set up in the club scene or a party. When you are home practicing so many ideas come to your head. You tried all combination possible, and it’s all cool. But in reality, the regular party goer will not dig into most of it. As a DJ you get frustrated to play the same stuff over and over, but heck, whatever to please the customer. And to really mix with 4 decks simultaneously requires more than beatmaching and synchronizing 4 tracks at the same times. It got to sound really smooth and nice on the audience hear. Now you have to worry about sound level or (High/Medium/low) level of each songs, Key of the songs and so on. With trance and house which is kind of straight forward, you still have to worry about those issues. With other genre like HipHop, Reagga, Cabo, Kompa, Zouk, Soca, It’s a must. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a really good exercise, but one got to be very careful when implementing them on a club scene. And again It’s not about beatmatching 4 or 14 tracks together, it has to sound good too.

In other word, yes with 2 decks and efficiently using you samples and sound effects you can get a crowd go WOW with VDJ.
I have seen couple guys using 4 decks before. Only few of them really did it for me.

I have been practicing a lot with 4 decks and I love it, but have only use 3 for now at parties.
 
4 decks would be nice but more than that is just rediculous. The only reason to have the 3rd and 4th decks is to get ready for cake cutting or parent dances at a wedding or to have the Beatles Birthday song cued and ready for when the Birthday Boy/Girl comes in for the big surprise. Then again that's what the Side List is for - just drag and hit play. VDJ is a perfect tool as it is. Can I beatmix 3 or 4 decks at the same time? Yes.

a "right" to try before you buy?... didn't see that in any bill of rights or constitution that i've ever seen. and why is asking someone to use a product legally wrong? the dev team, and alot of others who, on their own dime take the time to write code for plug-ins have done wonders to make alot of our lives easier at work and make our performances better. the trial download period is more than enough time to decide if you want to purchase the software. took me less than a week to put 5 different programs through their paces to figure out which one to buy.

and yeah.. they do need money - if every non-licensed user out there had bought and paid for virtual dj instead of using a crack version or a copy of it that someone "gave" them, then the company could maybe do things like sell it for a little less, or even better, take some well deserved vacations (...who me? brown-nose?.. nah...)

Whilst I appreciate everyone else support on this topic (thanks guys)- I thought I would put my views across.

Firstly I have no issue what so ever with people "trying" the software. Where I get frustrated is people using cracked versions. And the initial poster in this thread doesnt sound as though he has been "trialling" the software for a mere 20days (my opinion).

As previously posted many users Including myself put our own time in to developing skins and plugins. We do not ask for any financial support- I personally do it because I like to know that people can get the best out of the software to suit their needs.

Now whilst I don't need the money or want it. I'm sure if Atomic had it they may be able to employ more developers to bring out a bigger and better piece of software for users to have. I'm sure you wouldn't be complaining then!!!
So no I will not stop asking people to register. :-)
 

I bet most of you are still struggling with two lol.

I would like 3 decks :-)
and manuel pitchshift (not only beatlock) in the samplebank :-)This samplebank beatlock is just not working good-not realy sync...
