Topic: Just out of curiosity.... Web site

In all the years of being a dj i've never really been bothered about having a site or for that matter even been mentioned in one, with a little encouragement from my mate dj anthony he has sown the seeds and i am now thinking about having one. so here is my situation should i build my own or pay someone to do it, would like to give it a go myself but this is where you guys come in, anyone one have an idea what the costs i should expect for someone to build one for me, or what costs are involved doing it myself.

anyone that has a web site would you please post so i can get an idea how it should be laid out, might even pinch some of the better ideas,lol. thanks for any help offered.

I briefly looked into it mate, but never really got around to doing anything about it, because I'm a lazy arse, lol

There are site's such as "Google Sites" that have preset templates that you can change and swap things about, it's not very professional but I guess it gets you started.

Then there are the professional sites that do create and build one for you or help you build one, but that's as far as I got, lol

There are many guys on here with websites, and could help you further mate, I'm off to my gig soon. If you don't get any help from the guys and gals (I think you will though) I'll find the sites and links I was given and wrote down, somewhere, lol
 
 
well you know how much of a lazy git i am so we both know which route i probably be heading down, surprised no uk sites have been posted as yet, may get a few from the fellas on the other side of the pond when the time difference kicks in and they're back home... anyway have a good shift mate.

hi chuck, wished i thought about this sometime back all the bloody domains i would have preferred are taken, some shits have even got djtayla .com/.co already sewn up and even my second choice of digitaldjs have gone, how does digitaldjs.org.uk look/sound as a domain, your thoughts guys and you chuck are welcome...

My domain name price was included in my DSL/Web Hosting/business phone Tayla. Sorry I could not tell you what any one of them cost. I designed the site myself, from a template program that came with my package.

just checked its available - as is .co.uk, .org and pretty much anything you can think off!! lol
