Hello Chaps,

Noob Question:
Does this support the Korg Padkontrol? I only picked this up last night and noticed there is no native midi control support for anything other than a bunch of DJ controllers.

Idea is to set a few cue points across the pads and maybe try to beat juggle/mashup certain parts of my songs - are you able to midi map in VDJ? How do you use your padkontrols?

Can you elaborate on that statement? I am registered user... does that mean there is an area I can log into online and find someone's MIDI config file for certain devices?
 
Ready-made user created MIDI mappings for various controllers can be downloaded from the following page: http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/tools.html

There currently isn't a ready-made MIDI map for the Kord Padkontrol, but you can create one yourself via the General MIDI mapper:

  • Go to CONFIG -> Remote Control

  • Click on General MIDI and choose Activate.

  • Click on General MIDI and choose Config...

  • Click on Add.

  • Press a button on the MIDI controller.

  • Choose the action to assign it to from the list.

  • Click OK to finish the mapping for the button.

  • Repeat the above to map other buttons of the controller.

I assume you can only trigger the 1 cue point per channel even though there are 5 cue points per channel? Seems a shame, reluctant to purchase this software now...how are the time coded vinyl?
 
You can set and trigger up to 99 cue points!

Simply map a button to hot_cue with the appropriate cue point number as the value, e.g: 2 for hot cue 2.

You can also use set_cue to always set a cue point and goto_cue to always go to a cue point.
 
Hi,

With all the above in mind.
I see you have a:

"Korg NanoPad Def & Mapper" available within the controller section.

Would it not make sense to make on available for the Korg PadKontrol or not?

It only exists in VirtualDJ v5 and earlier.

Natively supported controllers are automatically detected and used in VirtualDJ v6 and can be customised via CONFIG -> Mappers

how can i see that my padkontrol and nanokey have been andet to my mapper list?
can find it to load on the website like the korg nanokontrol that was no problem copie in device and mappers the xml datei
but no controller just my (hercules rmx ,keyboard und korg nanokontrol, but not the other two
