Topic: automix saves the day

Dude, I just have to say that the automix on "smartA" mode saved my ass tonight. I was sort of sick, and out of sorts, so I programmed a huge waitlist, and the automix mixed like a champ.

I haven't used that feature in like 2 years... all i have to say is Nice Job!

People usually mock the auto mix mode, but its handy also for toilet breaks, or when ya need to go the bar...
 
I've not used it before, but last night I cued up about 20 tracks of similar BPM and it seamlessly blended them together and the beats matched. Very impressed!
 
its an awesoe feature for stuff like that yes my only prob with it if that if its not the same bpm it will cut the hell out of it, something awesome to do would be if the songs would slow down or go up in the bpm automatically instead of cutting them....
say if you have a 90 bpm track n go up to 112 just like if you have a 125 bpm changes easily to 128

i dunno if this made sense
 
I'm having trouble finding AUTOMIX - which skin is it on??

Thank you - I'm trying to use Virtual DJ between my band's live sets - I have the latest software - but I can't get the automix to work - we used to click automix on a previous version, rack up a load of tracks, and leave it play while we had our break!

now we've upgraded we seem to have lost the "automix" button???

any chance you could tell me where to find automix & how to use it - it doesn't appear on my "skin" - HELP PLEASE!

OK

Bottom right, see "playlist" click on that and drag it across (with button still pressed)Then lock the panel with the little padlock at the bottom of the panel.

You will see a grey circle, thats the automix function. Then the + symbol is all your options within the automix.

Fill the playlist with tracks (by dragging the files across to that panel), or load a playlist into it. Then just hit the circle thing and away you go.

There are different types of automix you can do, buts it's best if you read the manual for that, or play around with it till you find something you like.

No worries, I forgot to add, the automix just plays of one deck ( I guess you've gathered that now, lol). Also the cue points the automix puts in are adjustable by clicking on them and moving.
