Topic: VDJ Ready for Windows 7 operating system?

I've been running windows 7 beta on 1 of my machines and it's unbelievable....It's pretty much what vista should have been. Improvements thus far are appealing.... So the question remains is VDJ ready for windows 7?

There have been several threads on this already, I'd do a search if I was you ;)

Simply put: VDJ does basically work on Windows 7, but since it's a beta operating system I doubt you will be getting much in the way of support from them. I did see some issues reported with it, which will probably get ironed out as the OS development progresses.

It would be a very bad idea to run one as your live gig system.
 
Odd, I did a search nothing showed up.

I've ran into only a few software conflicts but it is a beta.

No plans on using it for a gig till it's officially released and supported by VDJ
 
For DJ use, Keep XP... On my home computer ill go for windows 7. It doesnt make sense for me to use 7 on my Dj laptop when XP is the best OS for that purpose.
 
I moved from Vista to 7even an my wokrbench/dj tool/multimedia notebook. Yes I use it for all that :) .

And no problem with Vdj in combination with an Vestax vci-100 + maya 44 usb. It works great.

I can report that all drivers where accepted and that no errors have been thrown to me sinds last week :) .

But like everyone suggests keep in mind it is still an pretty good beta release.
 
Anybody know when the official release of 7 is expected?

The search feature here sucks!!

The other thread you mention doesnt come up in search right now if you try windows 7, windows7, windows & 7, or even "windows 7" Cmon guys the last one should work the best!!.

I finally found the "several" threads using win7 as a search, even tho the text windows 7 appears many times (even a windows_7 search on the html file name comes up with nothing)

yes vitrualdj is ready for win7, but win7 isnt ready for the mainstream!

its only availabe in beta form and will stop working in august 2009.
that means you WILL need to remove it from your pc and put another OS on insted.

ive tested win7 on some of my PCs, and theres no issue with how vdj runs on win7..
i only needed to install DirectX 9 before vdj would run, but maybe that wouldnt be needed if i did an upgrade insted of fresh install (of win7)

About the forum search...
its never worked PROPERLY since they updated the look of the forum.
It dosent hurt anyone to ask the same question more than once...

maybe the search needs some major improvements!

Tried the Google search suggested by SBDJ;
Works great.

Sorry to say, I share the same sentimentes about VDJ's internal search - VDJ SEARCH could use some work.
