I'm totally new yet totally hooked on VDJ. I've learned how to mix some happy hardcore tunes on VDJ with a mouse and I'm convinced that I should now buy a midi controller. So I did some research and believe that the above two units are suitable for me.
However, I live in Malaysia and the price of midi controllers are EXHORBITANT! fother mucker!
1. VCI-100 - MYR2400 (USD 685)
2. Omni Control - MYR2050 (USD 585)
I really need the advice of all you nice VDJ users on which unit to go for before I splash this much cash. Please bear in mind that I'm a total newbie when it comes to mixing. I like to mix electro-music and I'm not so much into hip hop.
I like the idea of having the VCI-100 because it can allow me to explore a bit of scratching, but the omni control seems to have more buttons but i'm not sure if I need them.
I hope you guys would generously share some advice on the above matter. Thank you in advance.
ps. I'd love to order online. I'll save a fortune. But I'm worried that I will not be covered by Manufacturer's Warranty. Any advice from people outside USA who ordered either units online? Thank you.

VCI : real touchsensitive scratch jogwheels, no soundcard included, natively supported in VDJ
OMNI : no scratch jogwheels, soundcard included, not natively supported in VDJ (but probably will soon)
Depends a bit on yourself really, what you need and want :)

yep, actually if you convert the ringgit malaysia rate to us currency it's about the same.Cos' the most important thing off course the warranty and after sales service.At the moment i'm using virtual dj with the Numark Total Control .One thing it's only a midi controller , so i've got to have a separate audio soundcard.For the external sound card you can either get the creative souncard, m-audio,focusrite, esi and some others depend on your budget.But the best to use with virtual dj - Hercules product.Hope this will give you some info.
