Hey guys! I'm new to the VirtualDJ program. For the time being, I downloaded the trial version of VirtualDJ and installed a Maya44 USB card to use with my Numark HDX decks and Serato time code CDs.
My problem is down to this and it's tough to explain so PLEASE ask me questions to help you understand. Ok, I have very low volume through my Maya44 card (not only with VDJ but in general) and I also get a beeeeeeeeeeeep "tone" through channel 1/2 (deck A). Actually, I get the tone through channel A on my mixer whether I'm playing deck A or deck B (if that makes sense). Also, when I load a song in deck A and play it for a few and then CUE the track via HDX or VDJ, the VDJ platter goes nuts (plays the track SUPER fast). I haven't played with the settings too much, but did try a handful of quick tweaks and nothing helped with the beeep "tone". I updated the Maya44 driver and that helped a little (before, I got the "tone" through both decks) and now I'm down to one side (kind of).
Like I said, please ask some questions so I can give more info but this is as much as I can explain right now :)

Hello mate,
On the maya44 control panel, go to the tab on the far right, and make sure the monitor levels (the 2 on the left) are both muted! Should solve your problem!

Hey dan! Thanks for the tip, after you said that I remember that being a problem the last time I used this card with another program years ago but I haven't played with this car in a while. But on a bad note, all of a sudden VDJ won't read the time code. It says (please play a timecode vinyl/cd or check your sound card volume etc. So, maybe it was the MUTE that did it? Nope, put the Maya back to normal and even reset VDJ back to original settings twice and no go :( I had it running yesterday, but I can't figure out what I did to change it today.
Any more help/tips would be super!

Basically, VDJ is getting some sort of signal from the TCCD's because it goes from "silent" to "Timecode Signal 0%" when I play the TC track but nothing past that. I re-installed the Maya44 driver and kept the soundcard in the same USB port etc, but nothing seems to work. Setup is HDX's into the soundcard via IN, and OUT of the soundcard to my mixer.
Anymore help would be great! I don't want to give up.
