Topic: transitions from slow bmp to faster and viceversa

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

uhm im not sure if i worded the title ok but im wondering if there is any ways that virtual dj can recognize when in one song goes from , lets say, 112 bpm, to 130, normally the song just goes to whatever bpm the software thinks it is, but can never recognize when it starts slow n then goes fast and so on, and my hearing is not that great either to just guess where it might be
i dunno if this makes sense? but if does to anyone, and anyone knows tht would be awesome

VDJ doesn't recognise more than one BPM per file I'm afraid, so any mixing with other parts have to be done the old fashioned way ;)

any tips on that?

also ive noticed (and i forgot to mention ths in the main post)
ive noticed some songs do kind of adjust their bpm

Lots of practice

The songs that transition. I count the first bpm and then the second ( end ) and put in my song title tag. That way I know what songs do what how I might want to use them in my sets.

I'm afraid this is the part where one of the basic DJ skills - beatmixing - comes into play. You can't rely on software to get the BPM pefectly correct, nor the beat grid and you can't rely on the track to have a constant BPM either. The only way to be really sure is to do it by ear.

Alternatively you can do what the DJs at my work christmas party did - just drop it in there and see what happens, and fail miserably at correcting it, resulting in a trainwreck on every mix...

Or you can download the demo of BPM Studio which does real time BPM analysis. (Can we get this feature in VDJ?)

Software costs way too much though for what it does. (or rather, what it doesn't do.)

well duh (not to sound rude or anythin)...i know that, but i was looking for an answer where you might say well count in this much or stuff like that

kind of like

I know sadly I started with the digital side of dj-ing, while my beatmixing is good, I do depend too much on the bpm the software tells me , so ive encountered a couple of hiccups , mostly Im a house/electro dj (which is not hard to mix) , but hip hop, while i can mix from one song to another, lately i started getting this awesome mashups, where the song would start at one bpm and end on to another, and it is here where I couldnt figure out how to make it easier on the transition

oh dear ive heard this before its awful haha, and no! Id rather wait for the song to end and then make it look like I cut to a new song... :P
