Topic: Serato user, first time VDJ use and now hooked!

Ok my cousin has VDJ and he let me use it and I'm very impressed with the program. I've been a working (i have a fri & sat residency) serato user for the past 2 years and I think I'm going to swith over to VDJ. I like the effects and the scratching sounds just as good as serato and it's easier to use. I'm having a problem with the music videos tough.

I'm using my serato timecode vinyl and sl1 box. I keep getting sound distortion and drop outs on the music videos. Everything works fine on it's own (when mixing internaly on my pc) but when I hook it all up to my gear I have these problems and it's only on the music videos. My mp3 files work fine.

I'm using a Toshiba Satellite PC with a duo core intel centrino processor with windows vista 64 bit. 3 Gigs of ram and 100 gigs of space left on my HD.

Vestax PMC Mixer, 2 Technic 1200 MK'2's, Serato SL1, Serato Vinyl version 2.

Any suggestions for a fix.

Some guys have had good success grounding the Turntables to the PC case itself.

other than that You'll have to wait for some of the other guys around this forum (I'm not a timecode user)
 
It sounds like to me you have the settings set to high for your system to handle. What settings have you got in the Performance tab of the config you could try,

Preset slider all the way to the left (Fastest) set latency to Auto (from the dropdown) and uncheck both Safemode and Overclock.
