I have the RMX , VDJ, and Traktor .. and just want to know what are some good quality, but inexpensive speakers to look for to just use at home or at some friend's houses to mix and play? I don't think I need a whole PA 500w system.. Just something that'll rock someone's living room loud, or backyard.

Go to your local live music / Dj store and take a look around. It will depend on your budget and the kind of setup your going to have. You can get a 250.00 per speaker or a 700.00 per speaker. Then you can factor an amp or not. You may also factor a conditioner or not. It depends on you and what kind of future use you want to get out of the speakers.
If you ask that kind of question here your gonna get a 10 different answers that may or may not fit your needs. If it was me I would look into some powered speakers. Maybe some 10" that should rock a small house party but not have the low/mid range sound but you will be the hit of the party if your music choice is on point.
If your looking to just screw around them maybe some 8" powered or even some good computer speakers with a base unit. Depends on your usage.

I connect mine directly to my home stereo for screwing around, but then my whole house is wired like a club...
If you want to keep it simple, get a pair of powered speakers.
That way you are going all 1/4" without the amp and mixer.
