I have noticed that my total output/volume is low on my RMX. maybe a 20% decrease in total output than my MK2. This is ok when i have plenty of headroom on the system but when i don't i could really use that extra 20%. All my levels seem to be at max, including gain on virtual screen, faders all the way up and RMX control panel on computer. Any suggestions? Is there a bump box that i can use that will up the total volume output?
Thanks
Thanks

You can start by using the 1/4" outputs instead of rca. The 1/4" outputs have a +4dB boost.

Try minimising the VDJ window and increasing the volume slider in the windows system tray icon. On my system it seems to always default to about 3/4 of the way up.

I do the same thing that Waltskis does. For a few good reasons. First as touchy as the rmx is I dont trust running my mic through it so I use the second mixer for my mic. The same reason applies to the music, its nice to have a quick way to adjust volume without the sketchiness of the oversensitive rmx. The final reason is that in the same rack as the second mixer I carry my pioneer cmx 3000's. LOL, for those of you who forget what those things are they're called cd players...just in case.

lol i do the same too!
i have a behringer djx 700 external mixer and a hercules mk2, but the output for my mics is much quieter than the 2nd mixer!
so is this the only snag with the rmx? its just quieter?

the other snag i noticed is the sensitivity of the dials. And lets say you are playing on deck and you turn the bass up to say three o clock. then play a song on deck b, then you come back to deck a. your bass is still at 3 o clock, but the computer thinks your at zero so at three becomes ur zero.

yeah they volumes on the rmx are a bit twitchy move them slightly and you can end up turnin it up too loud lol
and the bass controls if you turn them up too much the sound distorts and sounds horrible
so i just leave the volume controls on the RMX to 12 o'clock and use the volume controls on my other mixer and my amps on my speakers gives off a better quality and sound, the bass is just chest thumpin lol and the sound is crystal clear, but im using Tapco Thump TH-15A active speakers, defo a good investment ;)
And yes Acces only thing with RMX is its quieter but apart from that and the volume controls i dont see nothing wrong with it, i love it and have to some very very good mixes on it!

as for the eq's... try looking in your vdj config and check to see if your eq is set to auto reset. If it is turn it off so you can manipulate the music via RMX. The same goes for the gain controls and pitch.
I disabled mine on all controls.
