Hi I used to be a DJ now only make CD compilations. I have a DAC3 unit connected to my computer and am trying out the latest version of virtual DJ. I need a new mixer and was looking at the Yamaha MW12 for approx $349. If I use this mixer and plug it USB do I get a better recording quality than using a regular mixer and a Maya44 soundcard? Will this mixer control virtualDJ.
Also if anybody else has this mixer how are the slides on them? I have seen some where the slides are so light which almost seems it is not connected anywhere and sliding on air, don't like those as much. Any other comments or suggestions using USB setup are welcome also any other recommendations on USB mixers at same price or cheaper.
Lastly if using only USB does it make a difference if I just keep the integrated soundcard or should I still go through the Maya44. Basically if recording will the processing be done by computer or soundcard?
