I want to play the "live" video on a second monitor. When I choose what I think is this option in VDJ, I get a small, separate, non-sizable window on the size, movable but not sizable. Ideas ? Running iMac.

In your video settings in VDJ go to the drop down window and select the output there. Example: I use plasma's and somehow my Mac and VDJ know it's there. I just select that and the window goes to the full screen. If you try that and are still having problems, make sure your display settings are correct in System Preferences.
