I have (ugg) Vista Home Premium on my new lappy running the latest VDJ. I use a DAC 2 for control. It took me forever to have VDJ & lappy recognize the DAC and when it did, it does everything except play. When I push the buttons and slide the faders,they move on screen, but no music plays and the wave forms don't move. I tried closing the program and it said "Are you sure because the music is playing still?" Is there anyone who's experienced this dilemma or can shed some light??

Did you install the drivers in your ADMIN user or in your USer?
Vista is a pain for installing stuff, I used my DAC2 with vista before I got a DMC2, If I remember correctly, mnake sure you instlall the drivers in admin (global). It should work, I don;t remember any issues when seting mine up with vista.
