Using CDJs am having difficulty in understanding how the cues work - I own serato and normally when you press cue in absolute the song returns to the beginning of the track however in absolute on the cdj using virtualdj - when pressing cue it only pauses the current track. I have tried the other settings of smart and relative but still no joy even when I try to move to a different point in the song by clicking on the GUI as soon as press play again on the cdj it jumps back to where it was.

Think VirtualDJ in absolute mode does EXACTLY what the player does (that be cd player or turntable). Thats the whole idea of absolute mode. "Absolute" control from the player..
So, I guess the CDJ jumps to a cue point when you press cue right? And so will VDJ. Serato kinda got it wrong by going to beginning of track.
What I do with CDJs, CDs or VDJ, is setting a cue to first beat of song, and if you do that, you get what you want right ?
