Hey Norway, or other DJs in other countries ... Do you guys claim or have to claim your money on taxes? (the money you earn from night club gigs, mobile gigs, rentals etc.)

In Canada any self-employed income MUST be declared on your taxes.
Over 30.000/year you MUST Register for G.S.T. number and charge/collect GST on your services. Under you don't have to.
Of course you may also claim expenses - with receipt, etc.
Vehicle expenes, rental of storage space, purchase equipment, capital loss (if you loose money over the year). All are eligable to claim.
Best Idea is to talk to a good accountant. Those annoying bean counters are worth they're weight in gold.
Unlike lawyers - They just suck.

In Serbia here you don't have to pay taxes (yet) but if you make a contract than you have to, guess it will be the same in the future like in EU.
