Hey everyone,
I posted this in the hardware forum a while ago, but I now realize that was the wrong place (at least i think so). I am getting a very distorted sound when I try to use a front/rear setting with my turtle beach santa cruz sound card. However, when i change to a front/center setting, the sound goes back to normal. Does anyone know what could cause this issue?
Thanks,
Daniel

More info after trying on my own for a while.
-There is no IRQ/hardware conflict
- I have tried adjusting all the performance settings to see if it is a latency issue, and it does not appear to be, there is no change in the nature of the distortion when i change the settings
- I am on a machine with XP Pro, 2.4 ghz processor, and 1 gb of ram
- The current audio settings work fine for everything else (itunes, etc)
