I'm informatic and sound engineer and recently i have adquired a BCD3000.
It comes with Traktor, but i think that VirtualDJ is a better solution, so i have tried a VirtualDJ.
I have configured it ok with DJ Quintana help(thanks boy) and it's running ok.
But, after 5 minutes working the software hangs up.
Sometimes, sound stops but virtualdj seems to be working.
Sometimes, sound doesn't stop but virtualdj stops working, i mean, i touch play button with mouse or BCD and it does do anything.
Closing and opening virtualdj, it works again, and after some minutes, it hangs up again.
I have tried it on two different PC with XP2, same problem
I have tried 4.2 and 5.0 cracked versions and both hangs up in the same way.
I am thinking in adquiring a licensed copy of VirtualDJ and reccomending it to my clients, but this is a real problem if software is going to hang up at any time.
I would like to have answer from technicals to know what can we do
I suppose it's a bug, not a compatibility problem, so i think you will be interested in repairing it.

I suppose it's a bug, not a compatibility problem, so i think you will be interested in repairing it.

You're first problem is the Beringer unit itself.
I tryed the 2000 and it was a dud.
I have not tryed the 3000 yet - but most reports we've been getting about it are not favorable. (search the Forums)

Is well known that behringer chipsets have some problems with some pcs specially with many lap tops, I have tried the bcd3000 with at least 3 different pcs and haven't had that problems, download my xml file and check if problem still goes on: http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/view.html?type=tool

I work on software developing.
I think that the problem is not BCD 3000 because virtualdj works until it crashes.
Sometimes VirtualDJ keeps on with current song but it doesn't work with mouse, keyboard nor BCD. VirtualDJ stops working.
Once virtualdj has crashed, when you restart virtualdj, it works again for some minutes.
I think that if the driver failed, virtualdj would work at least with mouse.
But it simply hangs and you can't play more songs.
It allows you to load new songs, but after loading there is no sound.
I'm not using a laptop.
I have tried it in a AMD2600 and a Pentium IV 2600, both crashes same way.
I think that it's a problem with virtualdj midi mapping and i think this problem will be same with another hardware midi controllers.

I forgot say that i have used manquin xml from first day and the problem is the same.
It crashes, i have VirtualDJ good configured.

There's a way to know if your pc doesn't have conlfict with asio drivers, just select your default soundcard instead of bcd's asio soundcard and use bcd as a controller only and check if problem still goes on.

I resolve the problem:
- Shutdown the pc
- connect the Console and turn on.
- start the pc
- open VDJ
- and the consolle Work
I work for 5 hour without problems.

actually you must turn on the bcd before opening vdj, otherwise it will never work.

Yes, behringer has problems with their drivers, they are not stable enough.

Try your BCD2K with Traktor,
you will see: the drivers are stable as they should be.
It's up to Atomix to solve the problems and start supporting the BCD2K as they promised 1 1/2 years ago.

He's absolute the first one who talks about problems with winamp and BCD.
I tell you my Winamp is running without any problems with the BCD.
(wich means nothing more than the BCD works as soundcard under Windows)
And now?!

You might try dj-Decks also.

I have tried all the softwares above before and after buying vdj but any of those convince me, only vdj even if mic worked with vdj I wouldn't use it since sounds terrible, nothing to do with it, you need an extra mixer that gives the voice a clear sound, regards.

Anybody tried turning off their wireless LAN? or logging off any software needing the internet connection while connected on cable LAN>? my bcd3000 only crashes when these cases are present, Either on pc or laptop

Actually you must disable all those things when you are using the bcd, otherwise vdj crashes.
