Topic: CONGRTAS TO DEV TEAM AND VDJ ...............5.0 ROCKS !!!

First of all, let me congratulate all the people invloved in the new 5.0 version of this amazing softaware. All I can say is, awesome work on the AUTOMIX feature, I played with it last night for about 5 hours and every single function of the AUTOMIX feature works flawlessly, Normal, smart, with and without intro, you should try automixing House and dance music with the smart option, and you will be amaze.

I haven't try video or kareaoke, because I mainly mix audio.

Also, very nice new layout of the webpage............finally I can get a rest of the guy in the top corner staring at me....jejejejeje..........more professional look, the initial VDJ screen looks also very nice.

The search engine is a lot better than the last one.
The side list feature is nice
The tags/info on the songs is also a nice feature.

I like everything.

You're very welcome, and for all those who have been having problems with the automix feature, all I can recomend is the following:

1. Update DirecX drivers from the fisrt to last update, instaling them individually and restarting the computer everytime you install one.
2. clean up all the temp files on Doc & Settings, Temp Internet files and try to disable all the useless features like power managment, hybernation, auto updates, all the little icons appear on the lower taskbar, go to configsys and then start up and disable everything that doesn't have to be with VDJ, Video or OS and I'm sure it will work nice.

I've read some problems with very high end computers and laptops having glitches and noises. I have a very common and simple laptop ( not to say very lame laptop comparing to some.....jajajajajaja )

But I think one of the reasons why mine works flawlessly is that I use my laptop only and only for VDJ, I don't even us it for browsing the internet, e-mails or other things. I don't have any data on my HDD only OS and Software, everything else is on my External 250 gb Iomega HDD

MUSIKGUATE are you able to run VirtualDJ with Enhanced Algoritham Scratch and Advanced Master Tempo (which needs to be activated by the padlock in the skin) at the same time? Even though my CPU usage is only 10-20% I get horribly distorted sound.

The #1 Sure-To-Make-Your-PC crap, is installing a bunch of programs, dodgy freeware, internet virus and spyware and then keep on uninstalling and installing other programs.. in the end your windows registry is a mess, your driver dlls in windows is a mess, and your PC struggels, even to start up windows ( goes from the quick start up when your bought the PC, to 3-4 minutes start up time... ) THATS when you know its time to reinstall and start over ;)

I usually don't mess with configuration on VDJ other that the default one, I'm not a scratch DJ, don't like it..and don't have any idea how.....jajajajajaja..........but I did some tests and started messing with performance and overlocking and all that set up stuff, and to tell you the truth I didn't notice any major changes in performance other than the CPU usage went to the top, but never crashed or glitched.......

Take in mind that when you start messing with configurations on VDJ is like when you balance the turntable arm, you have to have the right counterweight for it to have a perfect balance, same thing with VDJ, It's like when you are trying to find out the combination of a 3 number lock, you start at 000 then 001 then 002 and so on someday you will get to 756 witch is the combination to open the lock, well is the same thing with this........my advise, keep on trying diferent configs as computers behave diferent even havin same brand and specs...........I've always said that computers have a mind of it's own...jejejeje

After all the bullshit I just said, my recomendation is to ask someone that uses TCV and scratches..............jejejejeje

... and finally the Master Tempo worked with my setup! I played the last 2 nights (over 4hours each) with no problems at all, except a few settings that I had to tune up back (seems like vdj5 didn't import the vdj4.3 configuration).

1. Set windows performance/cpu priority to the background services. (control panel->system ->performance ->advanced)
2. Increase your asio latency (soundcard's asio panel)
3. Set latency in vdj performance options to "auto"

Personally i'm very pleased too with 5.0, and once people will spent some time to go DEEP in new features such as FILTER FOLDERS,
and discover how powerful they are, more and more will be happy.

My advise: don't stay on what you see... GO DEEP...
This program is simple and powerful at the same time, this is the most difficult thing in software..
Don't hesitate, spend some time, find the POWER of the keyboard shortcuts, make batch...
(I wish i had a keyboard with 500 keys...)
Find the power of the new database and search, even try to make your own skin and customize it to your needs.
It worth it.

And,...
I can say only one thing about the the creators /programmers of this program :
-And i want to say it in public now after all the time we spent for beta testing-
These guys are REALLY SMART and open minded, they just lead.
(Virtualdj and "smart" go together, thats why you can see "smart" so many times in options...)

When a new feature come or something is changing (even in beta testing where it is a small group) we react negative sometimes,
it's the fear of the new.
But believe me, at the end we are all convinced and happy about the choices made.
I myself had concerns about the new database.... now i love it...
That's why i said they lead...
I can say this only for 2 programs in the music industry:
Virtualdj and Ableton Live.
