Is there a way to keep an effect active when loading a new track into one of the decks? For example, I like to use a VST compressor on each of my decks. After I load a track, I have to be sure that I re-enable the effect.

I believe it's not currently possible, but it would be a useful option to have.

It is a registry option -
In HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VirtualDJ
Key -- ClearEffectsOnLoad - change this value from a 1 to 0
Now your effects will stay active if you load a new track on the deck.
** Caution for processor utilization increase with effects on at load **
Also - I think - modifiable using DJCel's Registry Tool --

Problem solved! But I forgot about the registry, I wish some of those options were moved into the software precisely for that reason, they can be missed or forgotten.
