Its not Herb Alpert, it is Henry Mancini. He also did the music for the Pink Panther. Of course I am talking about the original Casino Royale starring Ursela Anders, and David Niven, featureing Woody Allen. Directed by Blake Edwards, who also directed The Pink Panther films.

thanks gents ... i know you are both knowledgeable ......i haven't seen the flick yet , would very much like to .....i just heard what i thought was the main theme and i thought that was Herb (Alpert) on trumpet and Burt Bacharach orchestration but whadda i know ??
BTW AMaHM........i remember a relatively recent post of yours wherein you said that as a mobile guy you had to be versatile and handle a lot of situations/ events and be familiar with many different genres.........you mentioned Italian and Polish music if i remember right for whatever reason .... i have lottsa Italian and Polish music also ..... you mentioned tarantella which i have and is familiar ...... but you mentioned Polish music with some name that wasn't "polka" i don't know what that is
