Topic: Video Freezing after the first song completes

Hi,

Not too sure whats wrong with my VDJ, if I play a music video it runs all the way till the end perfectly, when its finished & I play another video it always freezes, the audio continues but the video does not, if i de-activte the video & re-activate the video carries on playing, any ideas? Chris

you will get asked this coz its bog standard reply, have you got latest directx drivers, also have you analysed all of your files video & audio, gotta ask starts to narrow down the problem...

Just checked that, I do have the latest direct x, also all the tracks are analised,

What are your system specs, moreso, you video card. I have posetd a fix for this here..

Fixed it, just upgraded to Vista & everything works fine!!
 
What is your vid card, by the way? Am curious whether I'll need to visit VISTA, too.
 
Its a 128Mb Mobile Intel 945GM Express Card, its built into the laptop, this Laptop is a Toshiba A200-1AB. All works perfectly now since I put Vista on, no jumps at all, I have has music videos running for 8 hours solid without any probs!!
 
So am I understanding that the video card is integrated in, which makes video'ing very difficult, however,
even with an integrated vid card, Vista fixes these "laptop integrated video problems".

Any comment Sky on this?
 
vista changes the whole way

video and audio works

a totaly new sound and video api

increases performance

i have a knackered p4 laptop

that can now play video thanks to vista

and my good laptop has never been clearer :)
 
however your card must meet vista requirements

and have a vista driver

a default ms one wont allow proper hardware acellaration needed for video fx
