Just curious what controller your're using with vv. Do you use timecode vinyl etc? Thinking about buying vv. You say it works flawless with the mac, which mac do u have?
thanks for any info provided.

Hi,
I'm using the 15" macbook pro, with one turntable, and the VV card.... I've only done a couple live gigs with it, only because my main video collection drive won't read on my mac....
I have to transfer everything over to a Mac formatted drive, or figure out why It won't read my NTFS.
anyhow, i'm no turntablist, but I think it works perfectly.... I can spin videos, and do everything else with timecode without a hiccup!
now if they could only get it to work under vista!
keep in mind, VV is the same as VDJ, is the same as CUE, etc.....
so if you get the box, you'll be stoked! just plug it in, and it works... the quality is amazing, and everything is good to go.
I'm still waiting for them to kinda' finish the mac version... you can't use a dac, and video is very usable, but still a bit weak on the quality side.... also, no plugins, no effects, and not all skins work.... (VMIX and MIXLab included!...attn: Cyder!)
I understand that's due to the bugs in OSX that prohibit full screen video...
it's ready for mixing though....

VDJ won't read the files on the NTFS drive, although the Mac OS reads them just fine, you can't use NTFS volumes in VDJ for Mac. Not sure why.

Have you tried the NTFS read / write driver? I forgot the name of it..
MAC os cant write to NTFS natively due to Microcraps ignorance.

I thought it worked with vista. I thought Skyfx posted about it. That the performence with vista was much better. But that was just vdj...not with vv. dunno.

Hey Steve Lynch
Your mac should read ntfs just fine, one reason it might not read it is because you didnt use the proper way of disconnecting a usb drive in windows.
All you have to do is hook up the drive to an xp system let it boot up and read then choose the little usb icon to disconnect it. It should then load up on your mac.
You can call me if you have issues with this ;-)
also its called fuse or Macfuse
you need fuse
the tools and the ntfs-3g loader

I had the same issue with my usb drive, it showed up in disk utilities but wouldnt mount
just make sure you ummount it correctly in windoze

I think you people are missing the point entirely. Mac OS reads NTFS drives just fine. NTFS drives that show up fine in finder do not show up in VDJ MAC at all. Is that clear enough?
