话题: VDJ, Serato SL1 and Headphones problems

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Hi Guys,
ISSUE #1 Bought the SW last year and finally tweaking it for my show on Sunday with the big screen. I updated to 4.3r12, got Serato to work with it, using VDJ timecodes, and everything seems great. EXCEPT I cannot get the song on deck to cue in my headphones! The only way I can see is if I bring the video crossfader over just a tad. I have tried reading some posts, and when you talk about 'setting' the headphones channel, do you mean in the 'output' section? That seems to screw everything up for me.
ISSUE #2 Is there any way to control the video crossfader without using my mouse? I can obviously mix the music with my Denon mixer, but then I have to hunt for the mouse and bring the video over. How did they guys do it at Atlantic City when they were demoing it for us?
Here is my config
Input: timecodes (CD)
output: External Mixer
soundcard: Serato SL1
PC: Dell Dimension 4600, p4 2.8gz with 2 Gigs of Ram
DJ Console: Denon DNS-1000s, with Denon 2 ch mixer
Thank you in advance for any light you can shine on this for me.
thx,
-Terry Moran

Issue 1
How did you setup VDJ? You should select Headphones in output setup or External mixer with 4.1 sound card.

Issue 2
You can map a shortcut for video crossfader or even better to use some Midi controller like Hercules MK2 and mapp crossfader to act for video. Also you can use Midi mixer like Ecler Nuo4 or 5.
Hope this helps!

I should use the 'headphones' output even though I am using a Serato box and a denon external mixer? I can't get that to work either! PLEASE HELP - I have a huge show on sunday that I want to mix video with!

Hi,

The soundcard setup I'd go for is:

Under the output section...
Select "external mixer"
Select your soundcard
Select the drivers you want.

Plug one pair of leads into one channel on your mixer, and the other pair of leads into the second channel. Should be that simple (hopefully)!

Then just use your external mixer to cue like as if you just had a pair of decks plugged in (using the mixer's pfl button for the channel you want).
