K, so I just got home today to find a box on my porch. It is my Averatec 7170. I was torn betwrrn this model and the 2370, but this one was right around the proce, so I went for it. Installed vdj right away, and it works awesome. Only thing is, its a 17" widescreen, and the stock res. looks stretched when I go full screen. So, off to the skin plug-in dl page, and I find ONE skin that can fit the 1440x900 res that the lappy is native to. I really like DJ Format's skins, and have already e-mailed him a request to make his widescreen sin a resize to fit the 1440x900. The next size down is 1152x864 (Never heard of this res, but whatever) and when I try some of the other widescreen 1280 skins at that size, the skin goes off the screen.
Any tips?

Where? I just looked, but under what menu is the resizer??

I didn't like the look of 1280x800 on my 19 and I felt like 1440x900 was just to hard to read for me 1280x960 is perfect everything just looks much better to me in this res. Its a shame his graphics card won't allow it. Plus I get a bigger browser in vdj ;)

k, this program is demented! When I enter the xml, it says 1280 x 768, and I enter 1440 by 900... Everything is going alright,
but I enter the bmp, and it says the bmp i'm importing is friggin 1280x5000...........
of course I tried it anyway, and it doesn't work.
Grrr

I need a skin thats 1440x900 too. I'm going to try the resizer and see if i can get it to work.
If not, maybe one of you guys who can work it would change the size of a skin for us?

I tried that skin. Its a good basic skin, but to be honest, the only thing that I like about it is that it fits my screen PERFECTLY!! every word is totally legable, and easy to read. Now if I could only get the mix lab 1.2 to fit 1440x900.....

this laptop is not for video, its just for audio....

Has anyone in the VDJ community ever been able to sucessfully resize any skin to 1440x900??
I think that I may be wasting my time trying to get this to work without error.
I did try reseting my screen to 1280x800 and all the skins are washed out faded looking.
Is there a chance the fine programmers at Atomix will throw us a bone and make up a skin that we can use?Why doesnt Virtual DJ automatically fit my screen like other programs?
