Hopefully someone can help me set up my VDJ to view and play FLAC files.
I've looked all around the forum and can't find any guide or instructions on how to accomplish this effort.
I'm currently ripping all of my CD's to Flac so I can have an exact copy of my music collection which I want to use in VDJ.

Hi Bmac :-),
As I see ripping is not a problem and you managed it somehow.
Google for CoreFLACDecoder_0.4.exe
it will install codec for playing FLAC in windows media player or other player using windows api.
afterwards, got to virtual dj settings>
codecs>
add >
extension= "flac" decoder= "general windows mediaplayer audio decoder"
Click okay and it should work.
Btw. On my centrino 1,5 GHz I noticed that FLAC was loading a way slower than 192kbps mp3. my estimation is 3x slower.
As I see ripping is not a problem and you managed it somehow.

Thank you for responding. :). I'm using it more for achiving my CD collection but just in case I want to use them in VDJ I want the ability to do it. I'm still using MP3's at VB rate of 320 to DJ.

You're welcome. I am deciding between numark d2 director or idj2.
I like d2 beacuse it is rack and looks more pro to me, but idj2 has flac support :-)

If you decide to use idj2 as backup in the future, your FLAC should play well.
