Would like to recieve an answer or a hunch to this topic. Scanned through the forum for clues and answers, but found only one real indication of that it might not require as much juice as the PC version, correct?
Specifically I wonder if it will require a MacBook Pro w/ ATI X1600 for VIDEO use, or if it will be sufficent with a MacBook w/ integrated Intel GMA 950 video chipset to operate?
(With respect of the fact that it has not yet been released, answers might delay).

For good video mix you need the later Macs with dedicated video memory (Ati/Nvidia)
For audio only mix, you can do fine with Mac Book with integrated video card.
You also need a Mac powerfull enough to run at least OSX 10.4, but should really run the upcomming OSX Leopart for best performance (video mix wise) that will be released april/mai

You can't go wrong with a MBP.
They've pretty much got the same hardware and specs (except for hard drive space) as the iMacs and the dedicated graphics card is invaluable for the video aspects of VDJ/VV.
