JUST did all that u said but directx sound driver error is still poping up and pls how can I update the firmware I run the update and still my firmware is still the same
 
Hey people I finally figure it out uninstall all the programs (vdj and mk2) download the updates for both and save it on your sys now right cliick on the dj console and go to properties click on compatibility click on the check box to run this program in window xp mode click apply then install by right clicking on the download and install as admin after the installation reboot your sys do the same with vdj and then you will be fine.
 

Hello, I just bought the B-CONTROL DEEJAY BCD2000, and it state that it could be use with any other dj software. Since I would like to use it with the Virtual DJ software I would like to know how I can some instruction on how to sync it with the Virtual DJ software because I'm having trouble communicating between it.

go to vdj click on config and click on remote control from there check on the bcd2000 hope that helps
 
this is bollox man why cant i get this problem fixed direct x controller, im sick off installin uninstalling doing hercules first then vdj, this is driving me mad do i have to go back to windows to use my vdj and hercules mk2, what the hell is going on here, you can put a man on the moon, but nobody can fix this problem has the world gone mad...................................dont answer that

can you confirm you have updated the firmware and the drivers?
 
For the Hercules MK2 (the one with included soundcard) :

This is rediculous...Vista has been out long enough to resolve this issue. Neither company(Hercules & Virtual DJ), has a solution. I was instructed(by the Hercules staff) to unistall Hercules driver & Virtual DJ. Then to reinstall the driver & after reboot reinstall Virtual DJ. Next was to go to device manager & uninstall "Hercules DJ Console MK2" by right clicking. The final step was to unplug & replug console or refresh devise manager. Guess what? Same issue. Because of this problem I have used 3 of my 5 free updates. I've been using Virtual DJ for a while now & it's the only DJ software I feel comfortable with, but this issue being so big can cause a loss of product faith.

If anyone else has a solution that's relevant to the issue, please reply

are you sure your loged in as admin?

if not the keys for the soundcard will not be written to the registry.
 
Just noticed...has nothing to do w/ the MK2 console or driver, it's the Virtual DJ update. When you right click on the program & view its properties, there is no Windows Vista compatibility option. What's the deal with that?

Also thank you for responding to my previous message, it's a bit more reassuring that the updates can be reset

Oh yeah...I am logged on as admin.
 
programs run under vista , for vista , dont have a vista compatablity option...

however a xp program ran be run as xpsp2 on vista.

this isnt related.
try dissabling user acess checking on control pannel this will ensure your getting full admin rights.
 
So is this a Virtual DJ, Hercules or Vista update issue?

basicaly all acounts in vista are basic unless you elivate them to admin rights

to install hardware you must have admin rights.

or the software currupts
 
I saved both files to my desktop(VDJ & Hercules), then right clicked & selected, "run as admin". When I right click on the VDJ program, I get an option to "run the program as admin". If I select that, it asks for my registration again...so I stopped there(I can't remember if I was prompted after the 3rd reinstall to enter registration). Do u think it would make a difference if I continue the process?

I did get a reply from VDJ saying make sure that the VDJ sound card is enabled, but that's in the config setting when the program is up and running. How can I make sure it's enabled when the "skin" doesn't appear?
 
I was able to use it with vista with no problem for a day after that the same error starts poping up again am so tired of this issue I had to other for a new sata hard drive for my new system to install xp on it and hopefully I can get a solution to this directx problem and put my new vista hard drive back on it.
 
you aslo need to be loged in as admin if its proving difficult to acess admin there is this hack


For Windows Vista Ultimate/Business/Enterprise:

1- Click Start, and type "secpol.msc" in the search area and click Enter. (You may receive a prompt from UAC, approve/login and proceed)
2- In the left list, choose "Local Policies", then "Security Options"
3- Set "Accounts: Administrator account status" to Enabled.
4- Set "User Account Control: Admin Approval Mode for the Built-in Administrator account" to Disabled.

For Windows Vista Home Basic/Home Premium:

1- Click Start, and type "cmd" in the search area, right click on "Command Prompt" and select 'Run as Administrator".

2- In the command prompt type "net users Administrator /active:yes" (Note the capital "A" in Administrator) and press Enter, you will get a confirmation as "The command completed successfully".

3- Click Start, and type "regedit" in the search area and click Enter, navigate to: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
Double click on "FilterAdministratorToken" and set it to "0"

Now log-off, and you'll see new account named "Administrator" is available, click on it to login.

Now you are the master of your domain! I recommend if you're going to use this method is to apply it as soon as you do a fresh install of Windows, so you can simply delete whatever administrator you've created in the setup process, and make this one the "real" administrator for your PC, also you can rename this new admin account or change its password like any other account from "User Accounts" in the Control Panel.


 
Hi , i still havent resolved my issues with vdj/hercules dj control mp3 with no built in sound card.
I still cannot prelisten to my next trak i have done all the updates vdj and hercules and still no joy.
I checked out my sound card a Aureon 5.1 usb and the vista updates are supposed to be coming out end of march i hope when i update it it will resolve my problem...as anyone got any more ideas ??

hi guys this is what i think because none of this info works and i still can not use vdj with a hercules mk2 with vist, all this info about logging on as admin, put in hercules drivers first then vdj , download all the new drivers put in the new direct x, great advise but it does not work. why cant someone at vdj just be honest, we dont know how to fix it because we are not use to working with vista. people would appreciate the honesty, instead you send us all on a wild goose chase, do this do that its all bollox nobody knows how to sort this out and its doing my head in
 
hey cool down dude, you can use vdj/mk2 with vista ...i can, the only prob i have is prelisting there,s bound to be probs im sure the guys at vdj are working to resolve these probs,.
