i give up !!!!

A few days ago everything seemed to be working perfectly (after a clean windows reinstall). Yesterday i tried to check out if the BCD was in BDJ mode or in advanced and i cliked on the BCD icon. From that moment ASIO driver eror message comes out everytime i start VDJ. I tried to reinstall drivers and VDJ but it didin't work !!!!. GRRRRRRRRRRR.

Hi djdad:

Try to switch the Asio-latency in VDJ to AUTO (look at the options). This should fix your problem.

Thanks for all the excellent advice so far. I just seem to have one more problem.
I have installed VDJ4 on both my desktop pc's and it works 100% fine, but now to be mobile and install it on my ACER Laptop, it doesn't seem to work? I have a Aspire 5670 Core Duo 1,6ghz - 2048 Ram + 120GB HDD.

Most of the time I am having trouble installing the BCD2000 drivers, it gives me conflict in the device manager, but when I seem to get it to work without any conflict , it only runs for about 5 seconds, before the music stops playing. My controller buttons still works then, it's just not playing the music?

Anybody has any idea?

you need to delete bcd registries usually located in local machine; the registries are: asio and behringer.
 
i think the problem is w-lan, if i disable w-lan VDJ works great.
when i aktivate my w-lan VDJ dont play any musik and get an asio error.

i dont have enough time to check it for long while but ill do it today
and rerport it here

Tanzi, Jerrydv... and with that, putting ASIO to AUTO, works the prelisten function, with Phone Split bottom. It maybe the solution i'm expecting, and finally purchase the program!!!

if Asio->Auto works for you (for most of us it did) you can use the Asio-Drivers and then you can use Headphones. For phonesplit, sorry i dont know this. Headpones crossfader works
And the "welcome back" as a licensed user
 
I emailed Berhinger about this, I am planning on sending them a reply but wanted to make sure I'm correct on a few things first.

Dear Sir,

thanks very much for writing.

Our BCD2000 ASIO drivers are generally working fine - furthermore: we experienced absolutly no problems with Virtual DJ 3.4 !

To my knowledge the problem only exists with Vitual DJ 4.0. They probably changed something within their software (perhaps its' a bug..?).

Try to ask the Virtual DJ Customer Support, maybe they got any news on this.

Please come back to me in case of any further questions!

Hi, I just bought the bcd2000 thinking that it would work with VirtualDJ, in fact, this was the only program that I wanted it to work with.

I genuinelly cannot get it to work at all, other than using it as a midi controller.

Is there an update on the way for the future? It seems to be a problem with the asio drivers... :/

Ok so, they say that it worked perfectly before 4.0, is this true? I mean, did ye have to use some other program before it worked perfectly? I also guess that there were some other issues with it, if so, what was wrong with it?

I have got the mixer working as a midi controller only, even after a fresh format and re-install on my laptop, I don't mind this so much as I understand that VirtualDJ is working on it from their side. However, Berhinger are basically denying any fault in this, even though almost every other dj software is starting to face the same problems, even their officially supported product.

I think that this is more down to Berhinger being a company that focuses on making something as cheaply as they can (which I'm not complaining about, as this can do a lot more than sound cards at the same price, etc), but they are really burying their head in the sand if they think that its not their fault.

Any info on how the bcd2000 worked on 3.4 would be greatly appreciated...

(P.s. I did read through all of the thread, I would of taken it as being perfect before only for ye mentioning having midi software installed to make it work... )
 
It never worked ok in 3.4 as I know, that's why all users that have BCD2000 waited for V4. Behringer is "passing the ball" to the Atomix team as a guilt for their product (bcd). They must be crazy if they don't help Atomix with VDJ and BCD because VDJ is the MOST popular dj software out there, and that is the fact!
I say again, I will get Hercules MK2 and enjoy it now :)
P.S. I don't hate Behringer, I have their Mixer VMX 200 and Headphones HPX2000 and I am happy with them.

Did they forget about their own software B-DJ that does not work at all for so many users?
Did they forget about Dj Deck users, Traktor users and more having lots of problems?

hehe.....

And did they forget that it DOES work for many in Virtual DJ 4?;)

Anyways, as said... 100 times already :
- VIRTUAL DJ DEV TEAM IS CURRENTLY WORKING ON WHY IT DOES NOT WORK FOR ALL, AND TRYING TO IMPROVE THE SUPPORT FOR THE CONSOLE.

Easy as that ;)

- Try AUTO for latency on a clean installed Virtual DJ 4.
That works for a lot of people, as a temporary solution.

If that doesn't work, please be patient a bit more, while Dev Team is working on things for 4.1
 
I have no bother with waiting for atomix to try fix it from their side, after all, I paid for the first version of VirtualDJ, not version 4.0, look at all the other DJ software out there that is charging for upgrades...

My problem is that I bought a half finished product from Berhinger and they are denying responsibility...

(When I said that I did a fresh re format, I meant that I had turned off the safe mode and set it to auto, like what was suggested, but it dosnt work as it should at all... Like I said though, I don't mind waiting, as I know the team will do their best...)
 
That message was wrote this morning as I was in a rush to work, I mean that I did a full reinstall and used the suggested settings.

I can also beta test anything thats needed if ye want another person to join (although, I'd say ye got a good enough response already ;) )
 
OK, now i'm completely stuck. Yesterday my Laptop crashed an after that VDJ4 wasn't working anymore with the BCD. So i had to install Windows and everything again. But after the new install VDJ still isn't working wih the BCD. Even with the ASIO to AUTO settings. It starts playing and stops after about 20sec.

AND i have the same problem even with soundsettings "low latency" "single output" not using any Asio-Drivers at all.
So i tried my old Hercule DJ-Console. No way VDJ wont work with any Soundcard except the Build in.

So what now? What else than a complete fresh install can i do?
 
I had problems too.
I tried to open the Control Panel of the BCD (The black icon) DON'T YOU EVER DO THIS !!!! VDJ did not work after that.
What did i do?. I uninstall both VDJ anc BCD Drivers. I runned regedit, and it took me a long time to clean everything that had to do with VDJ and BCD. Believe me trey were everywhere !. But after all. IT WORKS again !!!!

Hi guys, when something like that happens, then just go to performance window and select auto (in ther latency window) and then try to open againg the BCD panel control, should be fine now, It happens because looks like there is a problem with the bcd drivers but as DJ-IN- Norway has told It will be solved soon may be in the next update or latter so just be pattien.

OK, here we go again ;)

Found the solution why i had problems after the fresh install:
(again a tip found by a part of the community)

Switch of the battery-controlling and USB-energy safe mode like it is recommendet in BCD's manual. Do the other things like ASIO->AUTO / DX 9c ....
The it should work again. (it does for by now) Lets have a look how long for this time.

Sorry man, but i really think the problem is not caused by Behringers ASIO-drivers, as they worked with VDJ 3.4 without any troubles. At the moment all the problems started the only thing that has changed was the update to VDJ 4.0.

BCD ASIO -> VDJ 3.4 ->works fine
same drivers -> VDJ 4.0 -> problems - problems - problems (even with fresh installed PC's)
so lets have a look, the problems are due to what?

And as we can read here there are "a few" problems with other external soundcards.
All of them are naturally caused by the drivers of the external hardware *smile*.

Nice to read in xylios forum that dev_team has bought a couple of BCD's and in worst case will rewrite BCD's ASIO-drivers if nothing else helps. These are good news, but why for heaven's sake are you not giving these informations here in your own forum? Maybe because we already bought VDJ?
These informations could calm down some of your user here just a well

But at least it's nice to hear that you now stop guessing what you are talking about.

Referring to all of the "support" you give here (oh stop, as i remember all of the helpful hints came from the community) and your so called "native" support we where promised, i was starting to think none of you ever had touched a BCD just for a single time.

P.S:
Maybe you should not waste your time defending your software like a bear in other forums and start bringing up the needed improvements with patch 4.1 ;)
(By the way: any release-information when this will be?)

In my mind this would make lots of the "defending" unnecessary.

hehe;) calm down.. :)

Its said in this thread like a zillion times already, both by me, Cyder, Mp3Rick and Dev Team, that VDJ is currently working on fixing issues with the BCD2000 for it to work better with Virtual DJ.
Just be patient a bit more, and wait for the 4.1 fix release.

As for too few having the BCD2000 for the beta period, yeah.. Well, of course, in retrospect it should have been tested more, and we now have some new VIP members with BCD2000 + teamers, so will be a better test this time.

So hopefully all will be happy very soon :)
