Whilst we are all anxiously waiting for V4 can I ask you all what you would say to this question that was asked to me by my 16 year old Son. Might pass 5 minutes.
He said 'Surely Eminem couldn't be the first White Rapper, could he???'
Who do you reckon was the first????
What do you think I said to him??
Also, who is the best???

if memory serves me correctly, Blondie has the distinction of having first mainstream rap song to chart on billboard. Tex Ritter, John Ritters' Dad, had the first charted "spoken word" hit on the "Hit Parade" chart.

well anyway ...
in my oppinion ... the first 'white rapper' was Blondie .... she was the first caucasion person to drop a 'hiphop' track
but, then came the Beasty Boys ... Markie Mark ...Vanilla Ice
Now there is Eminem

Steve Lynch is Right!!!! Johnny Cash can sure sing out some great rhymes. Not sure if I'd consider it Hip Hop but Beastie Boys, Blondie, Vanilla Ice. well there were many good singers out there.
But Rap stands for Rythm And Poetry so I'd have to go with Steve Lynch on this one :)
