I'm using the demo version of VDJ, but I'm waiting for a Home edition I have bought. (It will arrive by mail).
I know the home edition doesn't have the microphone volume control.
Why don't you insert this control in the default skin?
I know other skins have this feature, but when I'll receive the home edition I'll use the default version.
I think microphone volume control could be very useful.

Micro Volume control is avialable in home edition with mK2 or Mk1 but not headphone mix only headphone crossfader is activated.you can after your registry here download some plugins for microphones setups
