I have a usb desktop microphone and I would like to use it. How can I input the mic for my mixes?

Well, in VDJ pro is like this, I don't know for your version. First enable Mic volume in your sound card setup, then go in VDJ Settings>Keyboard Shortcuts>>Add>System Volumes and enter a keyboard shortcut for "mic_volume". At the right you have explanation how to set volumes.
