I am getting ready to buy a keyboard so I can create my own tunes from scratch. Anyone have any recommendations? I was thinking about the Yamaha PSR-290.

Is there anyway to use a mic with Atomix and record the mic along with the music?

Do most people have software mixers or hardware based mixers? What do you recommend?

Any comments and suggested would be much appreciated.

from my dabblings i have found that great mixing programs are great because of the conventionality and there ease of use...so it really all comes down to the reason your mixing music.
Whether it be professional or recreational it has to be good riiiiiight?
[...] mixing programs such as screenblast soundforge, screenblast acid, Reason, Pro Tools, Recycle, Rebirth, etc.
These programs are some of the most acclaimed and best mixing applications available to the PC and have great possiblities!!!
Although, If you are looking to buy them i think REaSon was like $399 so it's a great value considering you could buy a $2000 korg mixtable and it saves space....
bottomline...always good to try before you buy! ;)
