How do you record with an external mixer with atomix? That option is gone once you're using an external mixer.

Thats no problem. You can use i.e. the microsoft recorder. It´s important to set the frequency to 44KHz!

I have an external mixer, and a soundblaster live 5.0, and tried using sound forge, the only problem is that it records EVERYTHING, (both decks regardless of it being mixed or not). I need a different alternative!

plug the master output of your mixer on the line in input of your soundcard! configure the record tool to record only the line in input!
