Dogatech 
The Pad Editor gives me complete control of the main pads, but how can I edit the aux pads (the 4 secondary pads in the upper right)?

Only by changing the actions of those buttons and their Leds from the Mapping of the controller.
They have different names depending on their mode.
E.g. for 1st mode (Hotcues) , the keys are named as .. AUXPAD_M1_1 to 4 , SHIFT_AUXPAD_M1_1 to 4 , LED_AUXPAD_M1_1 to 4 and SHIFT_LED_AUXPAD_M1_1 to 4
