I'm still experiencing issues with my BPM changing numbers . Many of my previous 70(s)BPMs has peculiarly been now registered as 140(s) BPMs. Do you know why this has occurred?

Did you happen to reanalyze your files?
Apparently the BPM analyzer respects the BPM it finds in the tag of files too (so if it was 140 in the tag, the scan may use that value preferentially).
You also might want to set keepBPMonAnalyzerUpdate to yes just in case they make updates to the analyzer but you want to keep the results of previous scans. I've not personally seen an analyzed BPM change for a file without manually triggering a reanalyze, with this setting on.
