is it possible to store eq settings in the tag of the filename from within virtualDJ so when i load the filename again the settings will be restored?

If the sound of the song is so bad that it needs permanent EQ then the best solution is to edit it.
Also you could just record it in VDJ with the EQ applied, then play the new recording.
As for your question, you could use the POI editor to add an action such as eq_high 70% although that's not strictly in the tags.

If windows yes you can, pasting params to a tag is just script, recalling those params needs a virtualfx, BUT I don't think it's the right way to go about it. Rerecording with the changes made is the most sensible option.
