How can one activate and deactivate the FX effect on the Sampler Bank, with a script?

Could not find something like, a verb: sampler_effect_active 'echo' on
Or effect_sampler 'echo' on
(say to turn on the sampler bank's, echo FX effect)

Solution: 

 effect_active 'sampler' 'echo'  on

works to turn on the sampler bank's, echo FX effect

Is this the preferred way, is there any other way?
